Parents,

Can you believe we're already approaching our final regular season meet of the year? The weather sure has made it memorable. I'm certain Thursday will cooperate. 

If your child becomes sick and won’t be able to attend, please email Coach Alyssa and Jen Ruiz ASAP. Remember, we do not have any practices on Thursday. Please avoid the pool/sun during the day on Thursday so the kids have the energy to swim.

Tomorrow will be the final practice for anyone NOT participating in All Star's. We will send out an email by tomorrow morning with swimmer's who are on the All- Star team. 

PARKING: As you know, we have limited parking in our parking lot. Feel free to park on the streets but please do not block sidewalks or driveways or park on the hill/entrance to the club.

ARRIVAL TIME: Please arrive around 5:00. Mountainbrook Warm Ups are 5:15-5:30 and Visiting Team Warm Ups are 5:35-5:50.

HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be ready tomorrow night/Thursday morning! You can also check your swimmer’s events on the Swimtopia app. Please note: events are subject to change. You can see changes as they are made. You will not see heats/lanes on the app unless you have the PRO version of the app.

WHAT TO BRING: Please dress your children in their team suit or blue/black suit and team t-shirt. Bring your team swim cap and goggles. Please note: year round swim club caps are not allowed. Don’t forget a chair/umbrella and sunscreen! PARENTS - PLEASE PARTICPATE TOO! We love team spirit!!

We are asking that parents write your child's last name on their right shoulder/upper back with a sharpie before you come. ALSO, please write your child’s events as shown here. We will provide a document with the heat sheet to make this process easier for you.

TEAM LOCATION: The Home Team will set up in front of the storage building and behind the diving board. Visiting Team will set up behind the splash pad. ALL PARENTS/SPECTATORS will set up on the entry side of the pool, closest to the field. Please bring chairs and umbrellas/shade. The spectator side of the pool is quite sunny.

ABOUT US: We have 179 swimmers on our roster. We are a 25 meter pool. We do have diving blocks but if swimmers are not comfortable diving off our blocks, they are welcome to dive off the side or start in the water. Please do not allow swimmers in the splash pad or deep end during the meet.

VOLUNTEERS: All volunteers, check in with Ashley Maryanski under the pool pavilion upon arrival. All first and 2nd half timers, head timer and stroke/turn judges should meet under the shelter at 5:50 pm.

2nd half volunteers, we will switch before event #33. Please be ready to take over. If you have any questions, please see Ashley Maryanski.

CONCESSIONS: We will have a food truck, Jalepeno's Mexican, and our snack bar open. Please see the attachment for food menu. You must load credits on your account to purchase from the snack bar.

Please clean up your space after the meet. If anyone can stay and help move chairs or take down equipment after the meet, we would greatly appreciate. Many hands make lighter work!

Lastly, let's show Firethorne good sportsmanship. Please reinforce swimming sportmanship by staying in the pool until all swimmers are finished, shaking hands/fist pumprs or exchanging words of gratitude.
