Congratulations to our 9-10 Boys Medley Relay Team

Wilkes Dubiel, Harrison Schnier, Wylie Kleber and John Piekutowski broke the 9-10 Boys 100 M Medley Relay record at the All Star Meet on June 30, 2024 with a time of 1:15.30.

These boys have been Mountainbrook swimmers for several years and have worked hard to achieve this record. We are proud to have them all on our team!

CONGRATS TO WYLIE KLEBER 

Wylie broke the 9-10 Boys 25 M Butterfly record of 16.12 on Monday, June 17 with a time of 15.90 at Providence Plantation. He also broke the record at home on Thursday, June 20 with a time of 16.00!! 

Wylie swims year round for ATOM. He worked so hard this season and we couldn't be more proud that he is a part of our team!

Welcome New and Returning Mountainbrook Wild Things Families!

We are ready for an exciting summer league swim season and look forward to seeing you all at the pool this summer. Our website is updated with practice, meet and event schedules. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with Swimtopia. Our entire league will be using it this season and most important information is available on this website. We will also use the Swimtopia app to communicate important announcements to parents (weather delays, meet declaration deadlines, etc).

PLEASE NOTE:

• Swim team registrants must be able to swim 25 meters independently. (This is one length of the pool.)
• ALL children 8 & under who are NEW TO SWIM TEAM will be required to complete a swim test on Sunday, May 19. The coaches will be evaluating new swimmers before and after the kick off party. You and your swimmer may arrive early at 1:30 or stay after the party until 4:30 in order to be evaluated. You will be refunded if your child is not eligible to participate on the swim team this season.
• The cost of swim team is $95 PER CHILD. This includes the mandatory $3.30 Swimtopia technology fee. If you choose to pay by credit card, a separate processing fee will apply.
• Swim team registrants must be 18 years or younger on May 31, 2024.
• Swim Team age is the age of the child on May 31, 2024.
• Swim Team requires a current Mountainbrook Club membership before registration. *Contact Amanda if you have questions about this requirement

We also want to acknowlege coach and swimmer, Makenna Wozny, for breaking the Women's 15-18 IM record at PDS with a time of 1:09.84, outpacing the a 2005 record from Amber Roney of 1:10.76.

Way to go Makenna! Mountainbrook is lucky to have you!

Luke Rublewski broke our Boys 11-12, 50 Meter Freestyle record set in 2013 by Hugh Svendson with a time of 30.32!!! Luke started swimming at Mountainbrook as shrimp. He now swims year round with Meckenburg Swim Association (MSA). His favorite stroke is butterfly!

Congratulations to Madeline Webb!!

Madeline has beat 4 records this season! She swam the 11-12 Girls 10 Meter Freestyle in 30.89, 11-12 Girls 100 Meter IM in 1:16.73,  11-12 Girls 50 Meter Backstroke in 34.51 and 11-12 Girls 50 Meter Butterfly

We are so excited to put her in our record books!
