Alyssa is a native Charlottean who attended Charlotte Catholic High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, where she studied Elementary Education. She is currently a 5th grade teacher at Knights View Elementary School in Charlotte.
Alyssa swam for Charlotte Catholic, MAC, and NOMAD from the ages of 6-18. During college she swam two years club.
She began coaching for her own neighborhood team during high school. Her coaching career led her to become the Varsity Coach for Central Cabarrus High School and the Head Coach for Providence Country Club.
Swimming and coaching are one of her greatest passions in life. She loves to be around any sort of body of water and loves seeing children begin to feel comfortable and confident in the water. Her belief is that the success of any swimmer is to feel safe and learn great technique, as well as having fun!
This is Alyssa's 6th summer as the head coach of Mountainbrook! She is very proud to be a Wild Thing! Even her husband, JK, loves to be at all the meets cheering everyone on as an honorary Wild Thing!
Addie is a rising freshman at NC State University. She grew up swimming for Mountainbrook and is so grateful for all the fun memories and friendships she has made through the sport. Outside of swim Addie enjoys going outside, playing field hockey, and hanging out with friends. Addie has been an active member of Mountainbrook youth ambassadors for the past 3 years and enjoys giving back to her community. Addie also enjoys babysitting and being around kids, she is very excited to be coaching this year and looks forward to a great season!
Abigail is a rising sophomore at East Meck High School. She loves swimming and being around kids. She has been swimming for Mountainbrook since she was 5 years old and has spent the last 6 years swimming with the Aquatic Team of Mecklenburg. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke. Outside of swimming, she loves going to concerts (especially country concerts!), baseball games, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and traveling. She is so excited to coach and build awesome bonds with the swimmers this year!
Caleigh is a rising senior at Myers Park High School. She has been on the Mountainbrook swim team since 2014 and loves it! She loves working with kids whether it be babysitting, teaching ballet, or hanging out with them! In her free time, she enjoys dancing ballet, hanging out with her siblings, reading, and being outside. Her favorite stroke is freestyle and she is excited to build bonds and swim with the kids!
Sutton is a rising junior at South Mecklenburg High School. She has been on the Mountainbrook swim team for over 10 years, and her favorite stroke is freestyle. In her free time she loves to play field hockey, basketball, soccer, and listen to music. She loves working with kids, babysitting, and going to school events like football games! Sutton is so excited to be a swim coach at Mountainbrook this summer and get to know all the kids!
Neve is a rising sophomore at South Meck High School. She has been with Mountainbrook since she was a shrimp which has been about ten years! She loves working with kids through babysitting and more. She has been coaching hurdles and long jump for Carmel Middle School's track team and she also plays field hockey. She loves being around kids and cannot wait to see the growth in the team and as individuals!
Evan is a rising sophomore at Charlotte Catholic High School who has been swimming since the age of 4. He joined the local swim club after moving to the area in 2020 and has been passionate about the sport ever since. In addition to swimming, Evan plays soccer and the saxophone in his school band. He loves helping and teaching others through his involvement in programs like United Sound where he supports peers through music and inclusive activities such as SOAR. Evan is excited to bring his enthusiasm and experience to the swim team and looks forward to working with younger swimmers this season.
Lindsey Miller is a rising freshman at UNC Chapel Hill hoping to study biomedical engineering. She is a recent graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School and has been swimming since she was 4 years old. She joined Mountainbrook when her family moved to this area in 2020. She loves working with children whether through babysitting, tutoring, or swimming. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke and she believes that swim team is not only great exercise but a way to build friendships. In her free time she runs, paints, and loves to read. Lindsey is so excited to coach and be a part of the swim community!
Keeley is a rising junior at South Meck High School. She has been on the Mountainbrook swim team since 2018, and loves swim team and the Mountainbrook community! In her free time she loves spending time with friends and listening to music. She loves spending time with kids and babysits a lot. Her favorite stroke is freestyle, and she is excited to get to know the kids and hopes that they get to enjoy swim team as much as she does!
Parker Summers is a rising junior at South Meck High School. He has been swimming at Mountainbrook since 2019 and this will be his first year coaching. Outside of swimming, Parker is an avid runner and soccer player. He also loves photography and the guitar. He is very excited to be coaching this year, and looks forward to an awesome season!
