ACTION NEEDED: ALL STAR SWIM MEET INFO
Wild Thing Families,
We will send out a separate email with instructions for the Bridgehampton meet tomorrow as soon as we get it. In the meantime, we need to discuss the All Star Swim Meet and have everyone declare attendance.
For those unfamiliar with All Star’s, each team swims in a Division All Star Championship Meet against all other teams in their division, after the completion of the dual meets.
We need EVERYONE 7 & UP to declare whether or not your child is available for the Allstar Swim Meet by Monday, June 27 at 5:00 PM! THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR CHILD WILL BE CHOSEN FOR ALL-STARS! Please understand, we need to know first who is available to attend so we can pick our Allstar team. Don’t make any assumptions! Just tell us “attending” if your child would be available to attend or “not attending” if you are out of town or have another commitment, regardless of your swimmer’s skill.
Date:
Friday, July 8, 6:00 PM (Warm Ups Begin at 5:15PM)
*Please note: this meet takes approximately 2 hours and runs 7 lanes of swimmers
Location:
Upper Palmetto YMCA / Rock Hill Aquatics Center 325 Rawlinson Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732
Eligibility:
A swimmer must have competed in at least two dual meets during the current season to be eligible to swim in the Division All-Star Meet. We will not have any 6 & under swimmers swimming in the All-star meet from our team.
Each team is limited to two eligible swimmers in each individual event and one eligible relay team in each relay event. Each eligible swimmer may enter a maximum of three individual events and two relays in their age group.
Two eligible alternate swimmers are allowed for each event however the eligible alternate swimmers must be listed as such on the general entry sheets to be eligible to swim in any event. Listing a swimmer as an alternate for an event counts as an entry in that event for that swimmer. We are allowed 4 alternates for relay teams.
**If your child is listed as an alternate, he/she will be expected to attend but may not swim unless another swimmer becomes ill or injured and cannot swim. I know this is hard but alternates are just as important! Things happen and we need them there!
Volunteers:
We also need volunteers for the All-star Meet! Job assignments have been posted! Please look for jobs assigned to Mountainbrook in Swimtopia!
Mountainbrook has been assigned:

Once you check in, volunteers will receive a lanyard which must be turned in before
leaving.
